Trim Levels
The Ram 1500 is available in several trim levels, including:
- Tradesman
- Big Horn

The Ram truck is also available in a TRX edition, which is a performance-oriented truck.
Performance
The 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine offers 305 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. It can tow up to 7,600 pounds around Bristol and has a max payload capacity of 1,880 pounds. The 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 engine offers 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. It can tow up to 12,750 pounds around Waterbury and has a max payload capacity of 2,300 pounds. Both engines connect to an eight-speed automatic transmission and offer a variety of performance-enhancing features, including engine stop-start technology, fuel-saving cylinder deactivation, and more.
Ram has begun offering an eTorque version of its truck engines, making the V6 a hybrid powertrain. The 5.7-liter V8 offers optional V8 mild hybrid tech as well. Rear-wheel drive is standard in the Ram 1500, but four-wheel drive is available across trim levels.
Design/Interior
The upgraded Ram truck is available in multiple cab configurations, but each model is spacious and roomy. Plus, the Ram 1500 contains only the most premium materials, even in the most basic trim. Drivers can ride around Hartford in style and comfort. Starting at the Limited trim, drivers may opt for a multi-function tailgate; a split-rear tailgate is the standard across trims.
Technology
The innovative Ram 1500 also includes an impressive amount of technology features. The Uconnect® infotainment display is a standout amenity, providing an intuitive and user-friendly interface. While the standard infotainment screen is five inches in diameter, the largest infotainment screen is 12 inches. Most trucks, however, will have the 8-inch touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be standard features in the latest Ram 1500, and these apps allow drivers to pair their smartphones to offer voice-activated commands while driving around Middletown.
The standard mobile hotspot is also a great feature, allowing passengers to stay connected even while on the go. The gauge cluster is also impressive, providing a wealth of information in an easy-to-read format.
Safety Features
The standard features on the Ram 1500 include electronic stability control, trailer sway control, hill start assist, and front and rear park assist. The available safety features on the Ram 1500 include adaptive cruise control with stop and go, forward collision warning with active braking, lane departure warning with lane keep assist, and a 360-degree surround-view camera. Drivers who do a great deal of towing and hauling cargo may opt for a trailering package that adds even more safety features. These advanced safety features make the Ram 1500 one of the safest pickups on the road. In addition, the newest Ram 1500 gets a rear-seat reminder safety feature.
