Chrysler Has Teamed Up to Help End Childhood Hunger

Last month, Chrylser announced that the company is joining forces with No Kid Hungry, a national campaign devoted to ending child hunger in the United States. The automaker's support will allow No Kid Hungry continue to improve the lives of families across the country, and ensure that kids have the nutritious foods they need to succeed.

According to No Kid Hungry, one of every six children in the United States lives with hunger. These kids are more likely to struggle in school, and tend to miss more class time due to not feeling well. By making sure that these children get the food they need every day, No Kid Hungry is setting them up for sustained academic success.

Since starting the campaign in 2010, No Kid Hungry has reduced the number of children that face hunger by one-third. Chrysler's work with the campaign is expected to provide up to 1.5 million meals to needy kids.

The automaker's support includes the following events:

  • Taste of the Nation: these events take place in more than 25 cities across the nation, bringing noted chefs, sommeliers and mixologists together to help end child hunger.
  • Chefs Cycle: this three-day, 300-mile bike ride raises funds for No Kid Hungry, with award-winning chefs like Bryan Voltaggio, Seamus Mullen, and Chad White participating.
  • Bake Sale for No Kid Hungry Here's one you can participate in! This grassroots initiative is designed to inspire everyday citizens to host bake sales at their home, school, office, or church, all to raise money to help end childhood hunger.
